How much does it cost to start a guild?
My current guild is in a sharp decline and though I'm working hard to revive it I have to face the possibility that it won't recover for our loses. Our leader keeps defering all the work to me and I don't have the authority to make most of the decisions. Example, some1 pmed her about an alliance and she asked me to talk to him about it instead of doing it herself. I've been thinking about starting a guild for a while but don't know what the fiscal costs would be. I'm not rich but I can up my moneymaking efforts and come up with the funds.
How much do sigils cost? How much does it cost to completely outfit the guild hall? How much does a cape cost? |

Starting a guild is 100 gold.
Buying a cape is 2k. A sigil as around 20k. All the hall upgrades add up to 480k, but the only two I find useful are the Storage and Priest upgrades. |

I don't know how to put this in a not abusive way but are you sure you're capable of running a guild if you can't find a sigil trader to look at sigil prices.

If all the work is being given to you, why not just start your own guild? You could recruit your own members, and acheive your own goals... instead of someone else's, who doesn't even seem to care...

He was venting about the guild leader sluffing the work off on him, so he does want to make his own guild.. thus the price checks. This guy is actually smart enough to make sure he can handle what he is getting into before he attempts it. quit flaming and spaming him! Vala, I'm bad with the figures, I know it isn't cheap though (my other half has helped me with the hall set up and I run the show with officer help). I'm around though if you want any other advice. As somebody said though, you don't have to buy all of the upgrades to start. Grab the storage agent, a merchent and the priest to start (and priest only if you plan on being big in PvP elements) after that I'd go for skills and so on by how often you use them. This may sound a little back stabing, but if you have a good buddy or two in that guild you're going to branch off from, take them with you. Money makes a guild hall look pretty, but it doesn't make a guild. How you run your guild and the officers you get backing you are going to make all of the difference. |
